PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure correct and timeous payment of wages and administration of relevant employee-related issues
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing the weekly payroll for wage employees

Preparing and collecting weekly wage payroll input
-
Check weekly wage payroll for errors
-
Filing of all appropriate information and record keeping
-
Processing personnel administration
-
Handling of staff queries
-
Distribution of weekly payslips and relevant payroll communication
-
Ad hoc duties as required in the payroll department
-
Processing the weekly payroll for DC Fixed Term Contract workers
-
Processing the monthly payroll for People With Disabilities (PDW) leaners
- Grade 12
-
3 Years’ experience in a payroll function
-
Basic Accounting ability
-
Proficiency on the Sage 300 people system
-
General working knowledge of the BCEA and wage determination will be advantageous
-
Ability to work under pressure during peak times
-
Attention to detail and accuracy
-
Enjoys working in a team
-
Excellent customer service
